ADJUNCT FACULTY, 1989 - 1999
Concurrently with his writing and corporate careers, Patrick worked as an Adjunct professor in the Literature and Communications department of Pace University (New York), at the university’s Pleasantville campus (early and late 1990s), White Plains campus (early 1990s) and White Plains Graduate Center (late 1990s).
 
     He was also an Adjunct professor in the Adult Education Program of Westchester Community College (Valhalla, New York), and in that capacity, he taught adult students in the college’s extension program at several area high schools.
 
PACE UNIVERSITY, Adjunct Professor of Literature and Communications, 1990 - 1999.
As a member of the adjunct Lit/Com faculty at Pace University, Pat taught upper-level and core-required writing and communications courses, including English I and II; Ethics, Morality and the Media; Writing for the Print Media; Writing for Advertising; Public Relations Writing; Professional Writing Portfolio, etc.
 
     He also taught a graduate course, Business Writing, which is required for students who are enrolled in Pace’s Graduate School of Business.
 
     As part of his Writing Critical Reviews course, he created publication courseware and related print collateral; and he also published several chapbooks of student work as part of the syllabus he created for Writing for the Print Media.
 
     In addition to his regular teaching duties, he also served as Honors Project Advisor for several students. In that capacity, he helped each student to design a course of study in a given subject area and then acted as mentor for their research and the preparation of their final projects. Projects for which he was responsible included research topics in literature and in global marketing strategies.
 
WESTCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE, Adjunct Professor, Adult Education Program, 1989 - 1990
As part of the college’s Adult Education initiative, Patrick developed a desktop publishing course that he taught for several semesters to adult professionals in various fields, including real estate, sales, and retail marketing and promotion.
